The 27-year-old has played 130 NRL games for the Rabbitohs since making his first grade debut against the Dragons in 2009.

Rabbitohs head coach Michael Maguire is delighted to see the 2014 NRL Premiership winner extend his time with the club.

“Jason is everything that represents South Sydney,” he said.

“He works very hard on his game, is a Member of our leadership group, is a loving family man, and is red and green to the bone.

“He is always looking at ways to improve his game and to help his team mates perform to their best every week.

“His dedication to his football is only matched by his dedication to his wife Lauren, his two daughters and the baby that’s on the way; and his parents could not be more supportive of his career and what we’re doing here at the club.

“Jason is a true leader within this club and it’s fantastic to have him recommit for another two seasons.”

Clark said he was over the moon to have his future sorted for the next two seasons.

“South Sydney is such a big part of my life so I couldn’t be happier to be extending my contract here,” he said.

“My whole family is South Sydney, and the boys and the coaches are like a second family to me.

“We have a lot more to achieve as a club in the coming seasons and I’ll be doing everything I can to help us return to the levels of success we’ve enjoyed in recent years.

“We still have work to do this season, and then we can prepare for next year and beyond.”
