Big Bash League superstar Chris Lynn is eyeing a Baggy green after being named in Australia's one-day squad.
The Brisbane Heat smasher has been in superb form in the BBL, amassing 26 sixes in just five games for an average of almost 70.
And while Lynn is hopeful of entering the Test arena at some point, for now he just wants to make an impression ahead of his debut ODI.
“It is the goal,” Lynn told Fox Sports of playing Test cricket for Australia.
“I haven’t played a one-dayer yet, so I can’t think too far ahead.
“I want to try and feel comfortable in that environment and just go from there.”
Lynn’s T20 prowess has some questioning his worth in the game’s longest format, similar to how David Warner was viewed throughout the early stages of his career.
Lynn said he took confidence from Warner’s ascension to Test batting supremo.
“If I keep it very simple that’s where it works for me and someone like David Warner,” Lynn said.
“The more I think about my game though, the technical side, that’s where I start to doubt myself.”
