The ninth annual Battle @ Baw Baw takes place this Saturday, 8th of August
The next big rail competition on the Australian calendar is set to happen this Saturday, the 8th of August with the annual Battle @ Baw Baw. Its the ninth time the resort will host the competition.
This years competition sees $5k in prize money up for grabs in the Pro division, with categories for amateurs and also a kids division, covering all bases.
Perrenial rail jam favourtie and recent winner of Cattleman's, Jye Kearney will be in attendance along with international heavy hitters, Tommi Ollikainen and Devan Peeters. Numerous other Aussie pros will be making the trek to Baw Baw for the weekend as well.
Mount Baw Baw Alpine Resort Manager Alex Flint is looking forward to seeing this year’s talent.
“Every year we see extraordinary talent, both homegrown and international, take part in the Battle @ Baw Baw and we can’t wait to see all the action form the pros and amateurs again this year. Those that haven’t competed before are also encouraged to give it a go – it’s an intimidation free environment, and at the end of the day, it’s all just a bit of fun!” said Alex.
“We’ll have lots of entertainment for competitors and spectators to celebrate and unwind on Saturday night, including live music and DJs at the Alpine Hotel,” he continued.
Registration begins Saturday morning and is free so be sure to get in early and be ready for a killer day.
