Junior rugby players and their families from all over Sydney met up and played with some of their favourite Australian Wallabies legends such as David Campese, Lote Tuqiri, Phil Waugh, Dean Mumm and Matt Dunning on an inflatable field on Newport Beach.

Huge fun was had by all, with DJs, games, face painting, an obstacle course and of course plenty of rugby to keep visitors entertained!

Targeted at younger players, rugby fives is played on the sand, with five players against five to create a fast and thrilling match.

Each game lasts 10 minutes, and the most significant difference between Beach 5s and the traditional rugby is the Two Second Rule - "When the ball carrier goes into contact with an opponent or is tackled by an opponent, the ball carrier must pass or release the ball within 2 Seconds"

After all the incredible feedback organisers received from those who attended, they have now confirmed the concept is set to expand in 2020 with at least SIX more events happening across Australia, with details and locations to be revealed in the new year.
