Channel Seven reports Bennett, a former police officer, contacted police last week after the couple were trailed by photographers near their Brisbane home.

The seven-time premiership-winning coach has refused to answer questions from News Corp journalists and says that will remain the case until his privacy is promised.

Funnily, News Corp owns 69% of his employer the Brisbane Broncos.

The 67-year-old refused to speak with News Corp reporters at his weekly press conference this morning.

And with News Corp owning the only metropolitan newspaper in Brisbane, things in the Queensland captial are set to get very intersting.
