Broncos coach Wayne Bennett has urged everyone to “move on” from James Roberts' drunken bender earlier this month.
The Broncos flyer, who has already been sacked from the Panthers and Roosters previously over issues with alcohol, was restrained and choked out by security after being refused service at a Brisbane night spot and abusing a female waitress.
The 23-year-old was fined $20,000 by the club on Wednesday following an investigation into two alleged incidents earlier this month.
Bennett refused to comment when probed on the issue on Thursday and said he would not be chatting with the wayward back over his struggles with alcohol.
"I'm not going to talk James, it's over. We've all moved on and you guys should move on," Bennett said on Thursday.
Roberts has been named in the team to face the Melbourne Storm on Friday night at AAMI Park.
