The Dragons have alleged one of their under-20s players was racially abused by an opposing Broncos player during Friday night’s match at Suncorp Stadium.
The joint venture told The Sunday Telegraph they would make a formal complaint to the NRL.
“Yes, we will be follow the correct process path with the NRL,’’ a St George-Illawarra spokesperson said.
The Dragons will allege forward TJ Uele was called a “black c’’ by a Broncos player just before half-time
An on-field altercation is said to have led to the alleged abuse.
Understandably, Uele was deeply angered by the alleged low-life call and was subsequently sin-binned for 10 minutes.
An NRL spokesperson confirmed they were aware of the incident.
The Broncos have also been made aware of the incident.
A statement is expected to follow after the complaint has been formally lodged.
