Broncos recruit Korbin Sims is set to be paid just $85,000 at the Broncos this year marking a massive pay cut for the prop.
The 25-year-old was on around $350,000 a year at Newcastle meaning the hard man has copped a $265,000-a-year pay reduction.
Brisbane are famous for getting players well under market value, but Sims’ pay packet could be seen as ridiculous considering the NRL’s minimum wage is $80,000.
Sims has signed a two-year contract with his 2018 earnings unknown, however, his deal is reportedly heavily back-ended.
