The Broncos will fight a contrary conduct charge laid against star centre James Roberts for kicking Titans player Ryan Simpkins.
Roberts was hit with a garde one charge for the second-half incident during Friday night's sudden death semi-final win over the Titans.
Roberts would have missed this weekend’s semi-final against the Cowboys had he entered a guilty plea.
Broncos forward Sam Thaiday said he had no idea what the outcome would be for his teammate when he fronted the NRL Judiciary on Wednesday night.
“Who knows with the judiciary system? It has been a funny year," he said.
Teammate Corey Parker escaped sanction for making contact with Ryan James in the 58th minute while packing a scrum in what some labelled a headbutt.
