Burton Snowboards is pleased to announce the return of the Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam for 2012, with the country’s best snowboarders set to descend on Mt Buller for Australia’s premiere rail event, Saturday July 14th.

The 7th year of the competition brings a new competition format designed to encourage Australia’s up-and-coming snowboard talent. As an ‘invite only’ event in previous years, the 2012 Cattleman’s Rail Jam will unfold as an open event with qualifiers taking place throughout the day on the Burton Cattleman’s Replica Stair Set, located in the Frank MBP Terrain Park. Riders can register on the day out the front of Freeride Boardstore at 9am, however spots are limited to 60.

The top 10 qualifiers from the day’s heats will then compete against previous competition winners under lights on Mt Buller’s famed Cattleman’s Rail in the Village Square for a share of $7000 worth of prize money.

The official afterparty will be held at Mt Buller's Kooroora Hotel from 8:30pm featuring RJMC and Cut N Paste as a part of the DJ Knows Alpine Tour.
