Laurie Daley is sweating on the health of Broncos flyer James Roberts who was injured during Thursday night’s 32-18 win over Penrith.
Roberts is thought to be firming as an Origin bolter after a sensational start to the season.
But the NRL’s fastest man could be set for a long stint on the sidelines after team mate Matt Gillett accidentally kicked Roberts in the knee.
The centre was immediately lifted from the field by trainers and looked to be in excruciating agony.
He will undergo X-rays on the damaged joint first thing on Friday morning.
More to come.
