This week, our two rugby league nuts discuss the many issues swirling around the game at the moment, starting with Paul Gallen’s alleged dive against the Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval. Was he proving a point? And what kind’ve look is a hardened competitor hitting the deck so easily offering the NRL competition?

Also covered off on Dead In Goal this week is the touchy issue of killing off the City vs Country concept. Is the annual match old-hat? Does it serve a purpose in the modern game? We don’t answer any of these questions, but we do have a lot of fun churning them over.

We also discuss the abolition of the annual ANZAC Test. What’s that? The powers that be are getting rid of this game as well? Fair dinkum … Not only should they be keeping this as an important mid-season fixture, how about we play the ANZAC Test on, say … ANZAC Day?

And what’s with Parramatta’s celebrations after every late-match error by the opposition? It’s a bit too much to stomach for one panel member. If his team had’ve beaten the Eels a few weeks ago, maybe he’d be feeling a bit different about the whole issue ...

We also take you through the Representative Round match-ups, talk Kangaroo Tours and those famous old Great Britain sides in our “Rearview Mirror” section, as well as discuss our “hero” and “zero” of the past seven days.

We'll see you at the footy.
