The final City-Country clash has sunk even further with City delaying the naming of their side in order to find 17 players to fill the team.
The naming of Brad Fittler’s side has been delayed by at least three hours on Monday morning “due to a large number of eligible players becoming unavailable for various reasons”.
The Bulldogs, Raiders, Sharks and North Queensland have all banned their players from selection for its final edition.
Meanwhile, Country coach Craig Fitzgibbon named his side as planned, with Cody Walker and Tyrone Roberts as well as Brian Kelly (Manly) and Connor Watson (Roosters) handed representative debuts.
