Former Wigan centre Anthony Gelling is training with the New Zealand Warriors and is close to securing a deal with the NRL club.
Gelling left Wigan in Super League to be closer to his partner in the Shakey Isles.
The 27-year-old played Under-20s for the Roosters but was sacked by the club in 2010 because of an off-field incident.
Gelling, a Cook Islands international, played for Wigan for six seasons where he scored 52 tries in 114 appearances.
