Matt Gillett will be unavailable for the Brisbane Broncos and Queensland for the next three months because of a fractured neck.
Gillett has remarkably been playing with the injury since suffering it in round one.
In a big blow for the Broncos' NRL premiership hopes, the second-rower will miss the next eight to 12 weeks.
He will also be ruled out for the whole State of Origin series.

Gillett will not require surgery but will have to sit out until early July.
It will be absence Brisbane and the Maroons will struggle to cover as he is one of the best back-rowers in the competition.
