Jarryd Hayne has responded to reports he wants a release from the Titans.
The Daily Telegraph reported Hayne had requested his manager Wayne Beavis explore options in Sydney and that he wanted out of his final year on the glitter strip worth $1.2 million.
However, Hayne said the reports, which resulted in Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga slamming the fullback, were not true.
Nine News Journalist Tom Fowles tweeted Hayne denies the report.
“If I wanted a move back to Sydney or to any club I would’ve done it at the start of the year,” Fowles quoted Hayne as saying.
Hayne then tweeted another denial:
I have NOT instructed my manger to SPEAK to teams in Sydney. @BuzzRothfield #slownewsday https://t.co/P09ka5kpl8
