Titans star Jarryd Hayne is being investigated by the NRL Integrity Unit after footage emerged of him appearing to hand an accused Hells Angel bikie $5000 cash.
The incident took place following the Titans' sudden death semi-final loss to Brisbane on Friday night.
News Corp obtained the footage of the alleged bikie standover man, who was filmed holding a giant wad of cash and saying:
“Haynesy just gave me five grand.”
Hayne was then filmed responding nonchalantly shrugging his shoulders and saying:
“Cash money fam, cash money. Give me a f ... ing cigarette.”
Hayne has reportedly been warned about his relationships with criminals in the past.
Former Titans player Nene Macdonald is also under investigation after photo emerged of him with the same alleged bikie.
The Titans have released a statement on the matter stating:
“The Gold Coast Titans and the NRL Integrity Unit have been made aware of a video that is circulating which features Titans player Jarryd Hayne and briefly Nene Macdonald.
“We are liaising with the Integrity Unit and the players over the matter and have no further comment until those discussions are completed.”
