The Rabbitohs and Warriors meet in round one in Perth this weekend.

Inglis has been out of action for a year after tearing his ACL. The 31-year-old, who has spent most his Bunnies career at fullback, willl return at left centre.

The Australian and Queensland Origin star is a regular three-quarter in the representative arena.

Alex Johnston has been selected to start at fullback against the side, with new recurit Dane Gagai partnering Inglis in the centres.

 


 

Johnston was in electric form for Souths in 2017, averaging a try every game with 22 from 22 appearances.

Inglis will captain the Rabbitohs on Saturday with Sam Burgess at lock, John Sutton in the second row and Cody Walker and Adam Reynolds in the halves.

For the Warriors Simon Mannering is out with a shoulder injury but new signings Peta Hiku, Blake Green, Adam Blair and Tohu Harris will all start.
