Pete Long (insta - 'petelong') has had a busy northern hemi' season with trips to Japan, Europe, Whistler and even a sneaky escape back home for some sun and skate sessions. Here are his top 6 Instas...

1 - This has to be my favourite grammy image to date, funnest rainy day spot. On this arvo the sun decided to pop mid session. Always thought it might frame up ok all symmetrical 'n' shit with the surf club behind. Low and behold like two seconds after I posted it the one and only Mike Mo 'liked' it, prompting both me and Adsy (my lanky nose wheelie subject) to seriously lose our shit. Haha Mike Mo you are the man! Much gratitude.

2 - Having just landed home from a long ass haul back from Europe, I did what most do and headed straight to the ocean. Mother Nature and I are pretty tight these days haha she tends to turn it on when you ask nice enough. Avalon holds a dear spot in my heart, always will. Token sunrise gram from the Southern Hill.

3 - Both these girls rule at life. Full stop. I took this at The 'Showcase Showdown' in Whistler, with Roxy's Jess Rich & Biba Turnbull getting it done. Jess seriously melted some minds this day, heaviest few tricks put down with that ever so sleepy style. Respect where it's due.

4 - One of my first grams posted, whilst in Japan this Northern Winter. Let's just say I kinda have a crush on this place.. and will be returning, again and again. 'I no naka no kawazu taikai wo shirazu' - A frog in a well does not know the great sea.

5 - I managed to sneak home in between trips this summer and was fortunate to get to hang at the Quiky Pro for a sec, have wanted to be on that sand for a final for like forever now. Also got to skate a whole bunch of new parks up and down the east coast. This trip meant a lot to me also, having re-connected with Byron Bay for the first time since I lived up there some time ago now. Magic does happen haha! Go get yourself a slice. 6 - Texas Plant, Rainbow Catcher shot on my Ipad by Seeto. Chilling some time whilst awaiting this alpine weather to settle. Season 2012, oh it's on.
