The extension secures Levi until at least the 2020 season.

“Our strategy is to retain our best young talent and build a team around them,” coach Nathan Brown said.

“In his third year of football, Danny shows continual improvement and a real desire to represent our footy club.”

The 21-year-old New Zealander, who made his debut in Round 15 in 2015, has notched up 30 NRL games for the Knights.

Levi maintains it is great to be able to continue his career with the red and blue.

“I have been here since the start of my career so it’s good to get another three years on top of that,” Levi said

“I like what’s going to happen here and I feel like we’re building something.”
