In February 2017, Inside Sport caught up with Paul Langmack, Laurie Daley and Peter and Graeme Wynn at the Dry Dock Hotel in Balmain. Here, we release the full version of our amazing interview from that day.
LISTEN TO DEAD IN GOAL HERE NOW:
Originally used for a Classic Sportswear feature story and promo campaign, which appeared on our website in our magazine through the early weeks of the 2017 NRL season, this 45-min interview showcases the humour, emotion and fondest memories of these four rugby league stars of the 1980s and ‘90s.
An added highlight of the session was the fact that each of the four former players sat dressed in the jersey of their playing heyday – Daley in his striking Canberra Milk Raiders jersey, Langers in his famous blue and white, Greame in the mighty Red V, while Peter Wynn sat proudly during the interview in his beloved blue and gold Parra strip of the Eels’ premiership season of ’86.
The recording is a bit dated in parts (Daley was NSW Origin coach at time of recording, for example), but the memories they share will last forever. Happy listening!
