Adam Reynolds has been withdrawn from the Auckland Nines after an injury scare at training.
The premiership-winning halfback was named in the squad to travel to New Zealand but will miss the tournament after coach Michael Maguire refused to risk him less than five weeks out from the NRL season-opener.
"Adam Reynolds has been withdrawn from the Auckland Nines squad as a precaution due to hamstring tightness," the club said in a statement.
"Reynolds was assessed this morning by Club medical staff with Head Coach Michael Maguire opting not to risk his halfback in the Auckland Nines tournament."
