Brisbane captain, Sam Thaiday will roll the dice today at the NRL judiciary tonight even through his club isn't confident the skipper will beat the charge. Thaiday's facing a one week ban after he grabbed a referee's shirt during last weekend's match as he tried to show how he'd been held back in the scrum. Melbourne full-back, Billy Slater scored as a result referees' boss, Daniel Anderson has since confirmed the wrong call was made. "He was probably more frustrated, he wasn't being aggressive towards the referee. The referee was never in any danger. He was frustrated and grabbed him by the shirt to demonstrate I suppose what had happened to him," said Broncos' Coach Anthony Griffin. Brisbane play local rivals Gold Coast this weekend. Meanwhile, the NRL has bowed to pressure and made changes to the controversial obstruction rule. The video referee will now able to use a level of discretion in making decisions on contentious plays.
