Roberts left the club at the end of last year to join English side Warrington.

But the 27-year-old has suffered homesickness and has agreed a release with Warrington to return to the NRL.

Roberts spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the Titans, playing 38 games.

"Tyrone is a very good half but will also add that real utility value to our squad and the fact he can play six, seven, nine or one makes him such a valuable commodity to have," Gold Coast coach Garth Brennan said.

"He's played a number of representative matches and has been a seasoned NRL player for well over five years, so he knows what it takes to compete at the top.

"Tyrone's been part of a successful club overseas who just qualified for the Challenge Cup final at Wembley so the experience he has gained in his short time over in England will be extremely valuable to bring back to our young squad.

"He has many friends still at the club and I know he'll settle back in without any issues."
