Former NRL star Manu Vatuvei will lace up the gloves next month and make his professional boxing debut in Christchurch.
Vatuvei will face fellow New Zealander Dave Letele on December 15, on the undercard of an event headlined by former world champion heavyweight Joseph Parker against American Alexander Flores.
The 32-year-old winger spent 14 years with the Warriors and a season with Salford in Super League.
He scored 152 tries in the NRL and represented both the Kiwis and Tonga at Test level.
Vatuvei has told reporters he hasn't retired from rugby league yet and is still looking for a new club.
