Premiership-winning coach mark Williams has been shown the door by Richmond as the club takes a broom to its mentors.
Assistants Greg Mellor and Ross Smith were also moved on.
The Tigers struggled this year, finishing 13th of 18 teams.
They had been better in past years managing to end the seasons fifth (2012), eighth (2014) and fifth (2015).
But it seems past successes counted for little as the club heads in a new direction.
Williams, who led Port Adelaide to a premiership in 2004, had held the role of senior development coach since September 2012.
Mellor arrived at Richmond at the end of 2011 and was initially responsible for the development of the Tigers’ first and second-year players.
Smith joined Richmond in September 2011, during which time he has had roles as both the backline coach and defensive coordinator.
“We thank all of these coaches for their commitment to the Club, its players and our football program, and we wish all of them and their families the very best for their future endeavours,” Richmond general manager of football Dan Richardson said.
