Tonga will play a landmark Test against Australia in New Zealand in October and the Kiwis next year.
Tonga were the compelling story of the 2017 Rugby World Cup, upsetting New Zealand and almost beating England in the semi-finals.
The Pacific nation has been angling for more matches against elite opposition with little luck.
But now a deal has been struck, according to NRL.com that will see them take on the Kangaroos in Auckland on October 20.
The Australian squad will take a pay cut from their usual $20,000 match fee to ensure the Test goes ahead.
The game will be the first time the two countries have met since the 2000 World Cup.
Tonga will also play the Kiwis at Mt Smart Stadium on the weekend of June 22-23 in 2019.
