The coronavirus outbreak has rocked the sporting world and the AFLW has been no exception. We will undoubtedly see an increase in precautionary measures over the coming weeks and there is no way of knowing how the league will be affected. In the meantime, we might as well acknowledge and appreciate the many fantastic sporting moments we have been privy to over the last week. So here we are.

The Richmond Tigers are left winless again as the St Kilda girls powered on to their second win of their 2020 campaign. Held at an empty Moorabbin – something we are now unfamiliar with, the Saints stormed home as 39-point victors, adding to coach Peta Searle’s first year record. It was disappointing without fans, but the Saints played to their strengths and exited the ground thanking the fans they wished were present!

There was an eerie feel to Hickey Park, home to the first game with the fans being locked out due to coronavirus. The Lions seemed to have the momentum in the third quarter, but Collingwood were just too good and took the four points.
