Lando Norris took first blood in the 2025 World Drivers’ Championship with a well-judged drive in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. The Albert Park circuit turned on trademark Melbourne four-seasons-in-one-day weather conditions, with searing heat on Saturday giving way to cold, blustery winds and torrential rain on Sunday. The slippery conditions caught out several drivers, including Oscar Piastri late in the race, just when the Australian was looking poised to challenge his McLaren team-mate for victory in his home grand prix. 17 Mar 2025
