Port Adelaide's Nathan Krakouer is in hot water after damaging a taxi on Saturday night.
He reportedly became angry after his credit card was declined several times while trying to pre-pay for a fare to the Adelaide CBD.
The 29-year-old is off contract with his AFL career likely over.
The driver called the police, but no charges are likely to be laid.
Port Adelaide confirmed Krakouer had apologised and agreed to pay for the damages.
He quit the AFL after a 2010 stint with the Gold Coast before returning to the Power in 2015, but has not played an AFL match this season.
Krakouer has formerly opened upĀ about hisĀ battles with alcohol and depression.
