Nick Cummins has been called up to the Qantas Australian Men's Sevens squad by head coach Andy Friend for this weekend's Hong Kong Sevens.

The 28-year-old outside back replaces Henry Hutchison, who has failed to recover from a minor foot problem.

The colourful and charismatic Cummins, affectionately known as "The Honey Badger", won the last of his eight World Series caps in May 2007 and last represented Australia in the abbreviated form of the game at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Cummins also has 15 Test Caps to his name and made his international 15-man debut against Argentina in October 2012.

New signing Frank Winterstein will also travel with the squad which heads to Hong Kong on today (Monday) as the 13th player.

The 41st Hong Kong Sevens kicks off this Friday, with Australia drawn in Pool C alongside the USA, Argentina and Portugal, with all of the action broadcast LIVE on FOX SPORTS.
