Benji Marshall is set to don the Broncos jersey for the first time at the World Club Series in February as super sub Kodi Nikorima continues his recovery from a shoulder reconstruction.
Coach Wayne Bennett will not shift halves Ben Hunt and Anthony Milford, with Marshall set to take a spot on the bench.
The tournament will give Bennett an opportunity to asses Marshall’s abilities as he finds the 31-year-old’s place in the side for the 2017 NRL season.
The premiership-winner can play centre and fullback but will be fighting for a position in Brisbane’s top 17.
Marshall signed a one-year deal worth about $100,000 after knocking back a $300,000 extension with the Dragons earlier this year.
