A fuming Wayne Bennett has scorned Benji Marshall after the former Wests playmaker told the media Anthony Milford was a lazy trainer.
Bennett confirmed Thursday morning at his official press conference that he confronted a player about whether he disclosed Milford’s work ethic to a journalist.
The player was Marshall who was thrown a lifeline by the Broncos in the form of a one-year deal.
The journalist in question is NRL 360’s Paul Kent who revealed Marshall’s revelations on the Fox Sports program on Wednesday night.

“He (Milford) is a guy that goes in, gets down on the machines in the gym and if you’ve got to do 10 and nobody’s watching, he pumps out eight because nobody’s watching,” Kent said.
“He’s a guy who enjoys his off-season, he generally comes back and his skinfolds give the medical staff a heart attack.
“Benji Marshall’s horrified by it. It’s not good enough.”
