Wayne Bennett will not have his contract renewed as coach of the Brisbane Broncos at the end of next year, according to reports.
Channel 7 has claimed that the Brisbane board has decided not to offer the veteran coach a new deal at the end of 2019.
Bennett could potentially be sacked immediately when the club's board meets in October.

Bennett has been under fire all season with first Craig Bellamy, then Ivan Cleary and now Anthony Siebold all linked with moves to coach the Broncos in the future.
Brisbane are in danger of missing the NRL finals as they sit in eighth spot with 26 points.
The Broncos have won 12 of 21 games in 2018.
