Jack Bird has signed a $2.1 million three-year deal with Brisbane.
The deal is $350,000 less than what Cronulla could offer him.
The opportunity to work with Wayne Bennett is believed to have been the catalyst for his shift north.
Bird helped the Sharks to last year’s premiership.
The 22-year-old debuted for NSW last year.
