It was the first victory for the Sherrin brothers’ new BMW M4, which debuted earlier this year in the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

After starting from pole, the Sherrins dominated the race, winning by more than a lap over the Chris Lillis/Nathan Callaghan HSV GT SS3 despite the BMW suffering a puncture.

“Finally!” an elated Grant Sherrin said. “It has been a long season up until now but we finally got the M4 up the front and on the top step of the podium and we are stoked. Iain put in a great drive, the strategy worked out well and the team did a fantastic job in the pit stops.”

In third was the Osborne Motorsport Renault Megane RS265 shared by rising Formula 4 youngster Tyler Everingham and Calum Jones.
