Captain Darius Boyd and forward Tevita Pangai Jr both suffered hamstring injuries to sour Thursday night’s 20-10 win over the Cowboys.

Boyd is of most concern after injuring his troublesome Hamstring in the final seconds of the first half.

He did not return.

The fullback is likely to miss next week’s opening finals match which will be against the Roosters, should the boys from Bondi down the hapless Titans this weekend.

Boyd said he expected to miss one week, however, the extent of his injury has not been confirmed.

“It’s not too bad, hopefully another week or maybe not even (that long), so we’ll see how it goes,” Boyd said.

“It’s a neural thing, it shouldn’t be too bad.

“ …it’s a week at worst. I might play next week. It’s pretty good in my eyes.”

Bennett was equally as optimistic about the Kangaroos and Maroons ace.

“That’s (Boyd’s injury) for medical to make that decision, it’s not serious, and that’s the best part, will be one week maybe,” Bennett said.

“Tevita has the same problem he had a couple of weeks ago, like Darius it’s not serious, we’re not sure if it was even a strain, it was just sort of cramping up on him.”
