Darius Boyd is set for a massive pay day as the Broncos put together what is likely to be his final professional contract.
The 30-year-old is off-contract at the end of the season with club supremo’s desperate to keep him at Red Hill.
The newly appointed captain is set to be offered a $4 million four-year deal with a move from fullback to the halves expected.
Boyd has publicly stated his desire to remain at the club he debuted for as an 18-year-old and a deal could be done in the coming weeks.
The Maroons ace is building a new home in the Queensland capital, with his and his partner’s families residing in Brisbane.
“I don’t want to go anywhere and this is where I want to be,” Boyd recently said.
