Geelong assistant coach Blake Caracella has taken up an assistant coaching role at Richmond after seven years with the Cats.
Caracella joined Geelong in October 2010 and has been a key component of the coaching staff over the ensuing period.
During his tenure, Geelong has reached the finals six times, finished in the top four of the ladder five times and won the 2011 AFL premiership.
“Blake has done an exceptional job with the club over a long period, and we wish him well at Richmond,” Geelong’s general manager of football Steve Hocking said.
“Blake is part of the AFL’s level four coaching program and it is important that he continues to grow and develop as a coach.
"Blake has been a popular figure at our club and we look forward to following his progress as he pursues future coaching opportunities.”
