Scans have confirmed Geelong’s Brandan Parfitt has suffered a high grade hamstring strain.
He suffered the injury in the final quarter of Sunday’s match against Collingwood.
“Brandan’s injury is disappointing, particularly after such a promising start to his first year at the club,” Geelong’s general manager of football Steve Hocking said.
“Surgery is not required and our medical staff expect a return to football within 8-10 weeks.
“Brandan is a resilient person and we are confident he will respond to his rehab program in a positive manner.”
