The AFL remains confident the round eight clash in Shanghai between Gold Coast and Port Adelaide will proceed as planned but Gold Coast's Metricon Stadium is on standby.
The League have announced all 10,000 tickets for the May 14 match are now sold.
There has been speculation this week about whether the game will go ahead in Shanghai, given the regional tensions surrounding North Korea and the US.
Shanghai's Jiangwan Stadium will host the first AFL match for premiership points outside Australia and New Zealand.
"The crowd will be made up of fans travelling from Australia, fans from the Asian region and new fans from within China itself," AFL finance officer Travis Auld said.
"It's a testament to the hard work by the team delivering this match that we've reached this milestone three week's out from the game.
"I'd like to acknowledge Port Adelaide's continued work in China to get us to a point to host a regular season match in the country."
