Cricket Australia has revealed their fixtures for the 2018/19 season, with a renewed focus on avoiding clashes with the Big Bash League.

India, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand are among the 22 matches the Australian cricket team will play over the season, with the first match - a Twenty20 fixture against South Africa - sure to get fans salivating at the Gold Coast's Metricon Stadium.

Cricket Australia CEO, James Sutherland, said the fixture changes allows fans the best chance to see their heroes over multiple formats.

"Our men's international season structure changes slightly this summer, with one-day and T20 international matches against South Africa and India in November," Sutherland told cricket.com.au

"This will be a win for fans, with less overlap with the Big Bash, giving Australians the opportunity to see Australia's best players involved in limited-overs cricket at international and domestic level."
