Cooper Cronk is set to be granted a release from the Storm from the final year of his contract.
Cronk signed a two-year extension last year but will move to Sydney at the end of this season to be close to his partner, sending the NRL market in to meltdown.
The 33-year-old has spent the past 14 seasons at the Storm and played 306 games for the only club he has known.
The Dragons and Rabbitohs made a huge play for the No.7 last year which he turned down.
He claimed a second Dally M Medal and his first Golden Boot award last season as Melbourne powered to a fifth grand final appearance during his time at the club.
More to come.
