Retiring Cronulla hooker Michael Ennis could be staying on at the Sharks as a coach.
Ennis has been told by coach Shane Flanagan he has a place at the Sharks as a specialist coach for the young halves and hookers in 2017 if he wants it.
“We’ve got some great young kids (with) the two Brailey boys, young (Mania) Cherrington coming here and Fa’amanu Brown,” Ennis told Fairfax media.
“I’d love to help those boys out where I can.
“The club, everything’s going around here, the supporter base, the development next door, it’s a good time for the club.”
Ennis' final match was Sunday’s 14-12 grand final win over the Storm.
