An NRL fan poll has decided South Sydney hooker Damien Cook has been the best player in the NRL in 2018.
More than 50,000 people voted in the official NRL fans poll.
Cook was the winner of the best player of the year category with almost 30% of the votes, in front of Newcastle fullback Kalyn Ponga and New Zealand Warriors custodian Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.
Melbourne hooker Cameron Smith had the mantle as the NRL's best last year.
Cook was also picked as the best hooker in 2019, while Rabbitohs coach Anthony Seibold was named best coach in the NRL.
Ponga was voted best signing of 2018 while Suncorp Stadium was selected as the best stadium in the competition.
