And we hear from plenty of them in the latest episode of Inside Sport’s Dead In Goal podcast. To coincide with our feature story on the Ultimate 2018 NRL Road Trip in this month’s Inside Sport, we decided to ask our podcast listeners about their all-time epic trips away – all in the name of supporting their favourite team.

We were also keen to honour the efforts of Wigan, Hull FC and Leeds supporters, who over the past fortnight have had the time of their lives while their beloved Super League sides took on some of Australia’s favourite footy clubs Down Under.

There have also been some terrific efforts made by our own rugby league fans as they have travelled to places such as Cairns, Rotorua and the Sunshine Coast in recent times. Even though matches being played at these centres are merely trials, people are still more than willing to dedicate the bucks and the miles to being there at the game.

From being struck in traffic while the clock ticks on a full bladder, to the shortest possible walk between two stadiums, our listeners responded in kind to our invitation to participate in this week’s podcast. How far would you be willing to travel to support your team? All the way to Sydney? All the way to the north of England? Plenty have, and we honour them this week.
