Yvonne Sampson could be away from the small screen until round 17 due to a non-compete clause in her Channel Nine contract.
Sampson finished up with Nine on December 31 after signing with Fox Sports and cannot appear on the pay TV network until July 1.
Lawyers of Nine and Fox are currently working through the matter.

Sampson was believed to have been slated as Fox’s face of its new 24/7 NRL channel to be launched next month.
But as it stands, Sampson is forbidden to even feature in Fox promotions.
She is believed to be bracing for extended time away from broadcasting.
