Jarryd Hayne is set to snub the Eels and join the Titans on a two-year deal.
The former NFL star will announce his NRL comeback at a press conference on Wednesday morning.
The Titans are attempting to secure his services this season as the Gold Coast club makes a surge to the finals.
The NRL would have to approve the move, but there is a strong possibility this could happen as Hayne is not a registered NRL player, therefore the June 30 deadline does not apply to him.
The 28-year-old is set to become rugby league’s highest paid player on a deal reportedly worth up to $1.2 million a season.
