We reckon the company that produces arguably the best-ever television shows is missing out on a pearler of a background subject: State of Origin. Here’s a run-down of what a series summary of “Origin” may look like …
ORIGIN: Series 38. An HBO production.
Episode: 1 – Day After Destruction
“Problems are only opportunities in work clothes.”
With Bluevale under complete rule by the Maroon Army, an irresistible offer is made to Boyd following Paul’s decision to stand aside as leader. Meanwhile, the old and wise Billy discovers his greatest obstacle of returning to the circle of Maroonville’s leadership is coming from within.

Episode: 2 – Rejection Hurts
“Sometimes I want to go back in time and punch myself in the face.”
After accepting the offer as new leader of Bluevale, Boyd’s prospects of a healthy start to his new role improve when Johnathan is deemed unwell. Kevin and his fellow Ultimates’ decision to reject Billy in favour of Darius comes back to haunt him. The Blues return to the capital with one half of the battle already won.

Episode: 3 - The Destructor
“But these words people threw around - humans, monsters, heroes, villains - to us it was all just a matter of semantics.”
Laurie begins the fortification process of the capital in readiness of the Maroon army’s blowback. The Ultimates eat humble pie and plead to Billy – and their millions of disciples - for forgiveness. Following the damage caused by Andrew The Destructor during the Blues’ last raid, Kevin turns to young heads to stop a repeat scenario.

Episode: 4 - Fallen Hero
“Great heroes need great sorrows and burdens, or half their greatness goes unnoticed. It is all part of the fairy tale.”
On the doorstep of a reverse takeover for the Blues, their capital is left in ruins after the return of an old foe. Maroonville’s victory comes at a heavy cost, with Johnathan receiving some heart-breaking news. Not for the first time, Kevin is left to make a decision he knows will upset many, but one he believes to be in the best interests of Brisvale … oops, we mean Maroonville ...

Episode: 5 – Not Your Turn
“Everybody said, ‘Follow your heart.’ I did: it got broken.”
Having bid his time for many eons, Daly sees an opportunity to help defend Maroonville in the looming shadow of the Blue Army’s return to Brisvale. Daly’s ambitions are cruelled after a chance meeting with Kevin, who tells Daly he has chosen Ben for the next battle. Meanwhile in Bluevale, Laurie hosts a feast in celebration of Kevin’s latest announcement.

Episode: 6 – They’re Back
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
Billy suffers a further setback while practicing, but to Laurie and the Blues’ Old Guard, something seems not quite right. Boyd must prove to Laurie he is ready for another attack on Brisvale, or else Laurie will choose another leader. The Blues’ arrival into the centre of Maroonville causes commotion and panic among the locals, who throw ale-fuelled projectiles at the Blues’ chariot as it makes its way to The Cauldron.
