Daw, who played nine games for the Roos in 2016, attracted interest from rival clubs, but said he had no interest in leaving.

“I’m really excited to sign another contract extension and remain at the Roos,” Daw said.

“I’ve been at North Melbourne since 2009 and couldn’t see myself playing anywhere else."

North’s GM List Management Cameron Joyce said the club was delighted Daw had re-signed.

“Majak has a big future ahead of him at North,” Joyce said.

“His performances in the second half of the year, and in particular his four goal effort in the elimination final, showed what he is capable of.

“We know he will have a big impact in 2017 and beyond and he is certainly an important part of our club’s future.”

The club also re-signed forward Jarrad Waite and wingman Sam Gibson to one-year extensions.
